Sex, drugs and rock’n’ roll in a melancholic biography of a female music icon.
The aging singer, Nico, leads an inconspicuous life in Manchester, far from her shining days of fame in the 1960s when the celebrated star of cult band The Velvet Underground stood beside Andy Warhol. Today, she gives less thought to her looks and career. She performs only thanks to her manager, Richard, who booked her a tour through Europe. Nico is tormented by her inner demons; now her only goal is to save her relationship with her son. This is the story of a woman in the shadow of her famous self.
